Position title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator
Job Classification: Full-time
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Hours of Work: 40+
Position Summary:
A Machine Operator is able to effectively follow instructions and efficiently run machines to meet production goals.
Position Description:
Operate machines safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
Accurately & legibly record production, downtime and scrap on daily production report.
Perform routine maintenance on machines.
Inspect parts and record data as required to ensure quality conformance.
Report to Supervisor regularly keeping them updated on production activities and progress.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Proper handling of non-conforming parts.
Material handling with
forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
Job Requirements:
2+ years’ operating machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Prior quality inspection experience preferred.
Ability to follow job specific instructions, both written and verbal.
Ability to work bot independently and as a team.
Forklift experience preferred.
Effective communication skills.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Education Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED.
